His father worked as a shoemaker. Limited financial means meant John had to rely on free educational opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From a young age, John displayed a talent for writing poetry and short stories. At 17, he shared with friends a profound spiritual experience that he described as &#8220;the deepest satisfaction,&#8221; which changed his perspective on life. For years, he sought to rediscover that state through the study of various spiritual teachings and philosophies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>John began working in orthopedic shoe manufacturing at an Edmonton company before pursuing theological studies. In 1983, he moved to Toronto to attend a Baptist seminary, but after a year of strict leadership, he returned to Alberta. There, he studied at Prairie Bible Institute and later interned with a Lutheran pastor at Edmonton&#8217;s Bethlehem Lutheran Church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the late 1980s, John left the church to establish his unique spiritual practice. By 1998, he was traveling internationally, visiting countries like the U.S., Germany, the Netherlands, and Israel. His teachings spread through word of mouth, and by 2010, he had amassed thousands of followers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Core_of_His_Teachings\"><\/span>The Core of His Teachings<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>John&#8217;s teachings diverged from traditional Christian doctrines early in his career. Instead of focusing on religion, his philosophy emphasizes truth and self-awareness. He encourages individuals to relinquish their ego and desires, distinguishing the &#8220;self&#8221; from the &#8220;soul.&#8221; According to John, the ego confuses and misleads, while the soul represents truth and helps guide life\u2019s decisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since the age of 17, John has remained committed to the source of his awakening, bringing this depth of understanding to his work with others. The college attracts people seeking guidance and clarity in their lives.
