Where Classes Are Held

Interestingly, the school rents most of its classrooms at a retreat centre situated on 20 acres of landscaped grounds. It’s a very atmospheric and calm place, making it a comfortable learning environment. Additionally, there is plenty of natural light, which positively impacts your mental well-being. You can easily get here by public transit, and there are many free parking spots near the school.

School Features

The school offers a wide range of services. Most importantly, everyone here receives a personalized approach and attention.

The school uses the most modern techniques and the latest software. You will definitely find the learning process engaging. You can forget about boring lectures for good. The school’s instructors are true photography professionals. Moreover, they have all the necessary skills for high-quality teaching. Instructors conduct their classes in a fun and creative manner. Here, you can leave your daily stresses behind and enjoy a wonderful learning experience.

Importantly, weekend classes are available, so you can fit the learning process around your work or university studies. The school takes care of the little things, so classes even include a hot lunch.

The photo school even has its own scholarship to encourage young talent in Alberta. To apply for the scholarship, a student must submit a portfolio with a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 30 images, along with a letter of intent.

What You Need for the Classes

To get the full learning experience and participate in the hands-on sessions, you will need a camera with interchangeable lenses and the ability for manual control. You can bring both DSLR and mirrorless cameras. If you are unsure whether your camera is suitable for the classes, you can contact the school for a free consultation.

If you don’t have a camera, you can try borrowing one from family or friends, or you can ask us about rental options. We have partners in Edmonton that provide equipment for a period of time: “Vistek” and “McBain’s”.

If you live in another city and need a place to stay during the classes, you can contact the Providence Renewal Centre, where the school is located. The centre has single and double rooms, but the conditions here are very ‘spartan’. A few minutes from the centre, there are also several hotels with better amenities.
